I just joined this community because I have a question. I am a fan of neither Doctor Who or the Thrashers, but I did find something interesting that combines the two. If you were watching the all star game, you would notice that the version of "Rock and Role" they were using every few goals had a Doctor Who tease. Who is the artist?

Was anyone still interested in road tripping up to the Triangle for this? They've got a game on a Friday night the last weekend in March.

1. I finally saw the eighth doctor movie, and I have to say, I'm a fan. I mean, the doctor really was the doctor, so that's all that mattered to me. I don't care that the rest of it was fairly cheesy, cause I mean, it's doctor who.

2. wayne gretzky is going to be in phillips arena tonight. whoa. and scott mellanby was funny in the ajc:

"'When you’re a young kid and you play against him, that’s one thing, but he’s coaching now,' Mellanby said. 'He’s trying to win a game; you can’t be concerned about what he’s doing. He’s not going to take the puck down to the other end of the rink and score like he used to be able to. He’s good but not that good.'"

That is all.

"An insider says that Robert Carlyle has been in talks with the BBC now for a few months and although nothing has been signed, he has accepted an offer and will step into the famous Dr Who shoes for the next series which will be shown in the Autumn of 2007."

Robert Carlyle was in Trainspotting and was the villian in Ravenous (good movie check it out)

"David Tennant, the second Dr Who to quit in less than 2 years has announced his departure from the show due to fear of becoming type cast and says that he has seen a drop in levels of script offers since he has been involved with the making of Dr Who. He says "I am keen to avoid being stuck in the role of the Dr much like previous actors such as Tom Baker and John Pertwee". "I have been looking at some extremely interesting new projects lately and I am keen to work on something that will stretch my ability more as an actor".

" A spokesperson at the BBC confirmed the rumour and added "We will see a very different style of Dr Who in this forthcoming series as Robert Carlyle has a very different approach to the role than David had." She went on to say "Robert has already indicated that he intends to bring a more tougher stance to the character"

The tenth Doctor Who will retire midway through his third series, according to a source"

okay so im going to weigh on this business.

Im not saying this is whats going to happen, obviously i am very biased towards the 10th Doctor. Heres what i think SHOULD happen.

The BBC has already shown that they like to mess with the fans "Rose is going to die". They like to whip the fans up into a frenzy.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see the 10th Doctor "die" and regenerate into Robert Carlyle. And with a very different approach the 11th Doctor is cruel and horrible. Finally at the finale of Season 3. The 10th Doctor breaks free of the TARDIS-like prison he had been trapped in while Robert Carlyle (The Master) has been pretending to be the Doctor. 10 makes a triumphant return and defeats The Master.

Its perfect, the BBC is able to have talks with Carlyle without anyone guessing its actually about him being the Master. They incite a fury of internet buzz and the payoff would be incredible.
